All Florida Investment Advisor Internet Brokerage accounts require a Margin Agreement. For new accounts, we require minimum account equity of $2,000, and the securities and/or money must be in the account at the time the initial order is placed. For established accounts, we require sufficient buying power or equity to be on hand prior to acceptance of a buy order and securities must be on deposit, in good delivery, before acceptance of a sell order. For options, stocks selling below $1 per share, non NASDAQ stocks, and foreign stocks, cleared funds equal to the full amount of the trade must be on deposit prior to Florida Investment Advisors accepting the order. An "order" is defined as the entering of any individual order for the purpose of executing both purchase or sell transaction (i.e. multiple orders for the same security received in any given day, are not grouped together and are not viewed as one order). A GTC order which is executed over a period of several days is charged a separate commission based on each day's activity. The limit order commission rate will be charged on all changed orders. All GTC orders are good for 90 days.
